There are certain things which students should keep in their mind while looking for a hostel. Those who are newly admitted in universities and that university located in another city.  In the first place, the major problem is, where they will stay, which hostel suits them most. So here are some important measures of selecting the hostel room which in long term, will not be coming up with difficulty.

Firstly, they should try to search that hostel which is near to university. Secondly, after choosing the place these are some points you must ask to hostel owner. Generally every hostel give these facilities in rent i.e electricity backup for 24 hrs., electricity charges, hot water for winter, internet, room servant whose duty is to clean up your room or bath once or twice in a week, filter drinking water, mattress is provided by hostel admin or not. Some hostels have their own mess facility but with extra monthly charges.

Now these are some more points you should check by yourselves. You are paying for room or only for a one seat in room(seat means, room has three or two seats and one seat is for one person), room has window for ventilation, attach bath, cupboard with good locks, room has a proper lock, in addition to this, it is more better you have your own lock for security reasons,hostel staff is cooperative. security you pay is refundable or not, more over you must take receipt of the security and rent you give with signature of owner and the student to avoid further consequences.
